The Carriage House
A unique place to stay in University City
Best place to stay in UNIVERSITY CITY

The Carriage House is located at
1008 S.46th St. between Springfield and Chester Aves in Philadelphia, PA.

The Carriage  House was built in 1891 as part of a stately residence perhaps designed by Philadelphia architect Angus Wade. In a neighborhood of mostly Philadelphia   twins ,  the three-story granite house with  five chimneys and red slate roofs stands out as one of the few single  houses built in the area in the late 1800's.

The Carriage House is a short term stay "home away from home" and provides accommodations for parties of up to six people, as well as off-street parking. It is convenient to the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University,  University of the Sciences, hospitals HUP & CHOP, the Science Center,  and all of University City.
Downtown Philadelphia and the PA Convention Center are less than 15 minutes away by convenient public transportation.
