The Carriage House was created by Brian and Melani. the owners and caretakers, who actually live right next door.  Melani and Brian are long time residents of University City.

Melani is a licensed real estate assistant broker, specializing in residential real estate in University City, but with experience in many Philadelphia neighborhoods.
She has been very active in neighborhood organizations like the University City Historical Society, The University City Arts League, Cedar Park Neighbors, Spruce Hill Community, Baltimore Ave Improvement.
She is also active with Curio Theatre and the Philadelphia Board of Realtors.

Brian is a licensed professional chemical engineer currently consulting on a number of Biofuel Projects.  He is also very active in building renovation projects, mostly in University City. 

In addition to The Carriage House,  Melani and Brian have renovated The Stone House (their longtime residencenext door to the Carriage House), The Gables (B&B), a Victorian twin on 48th St. and the buildings housing Vientianne Cafe and the Gold Standard Cafe (Local BYOB's).  They recently purchased the building housing Mariposa and are renovating two apartments.  See pictures below.
